Loss of an Unlikely Twin

I stand at the grave of my twin,
My most unlikely twin,
She holds crumbs of the times gone by in her palm,
Carries it to her grave,
She is me,
Me when all that held me together was a borrowed nut from elsewhere,
She lays peaceful or restless beneath the earth?
I know not,
For I envy her, I lament her loss,
Her place needs an anew invader,
A knight from within me,
This moment the space is drawing in,
Stretching painfully to close in,
This moment I stand still,
But the rest seems to recede,
And the horizon is too close to see beyond,
To sketch a path beyond.
Lost without the twin, an image of the time gone by,
I stumble inside, stand still on the outside,
As I nurture the knight within me.

I think you teach literature in schools? You imagination conveyed by words suggests so.
